October Half term Newsletter 2018

Train and play like a Proffessional: “SK Sports Academy offers Football matches and training on 5 days of the week for ages 3 to 12 years old … this means your Soccerkids can play and train just like their Premier League Football Heroes!”

The “Back to School” Season has been a great re-start to our Academy Football Year. The staff have worked hard over the last 6 months to create an affordable, all-inclusive, open door community football Academy where our focus is to offer any children of all abilities the opportunity to play and learn on almost every day of the week as part of their registration.

The inlcusion of the U9 representative team that now play in the Royston and Crow Saturday football league has been a significant development, one of which has helped our Soccerkids remain focused and disciplined during training days. The games that we have already participated in have provided the coaching team with the learning topics for the forthcoming season as well as identified individual plans to improve our players.

In addition, SK Sports have recently registered an Under 7’s & 8’s team into the West Essex & East Herts Sunday Football league. During last term the staff have been identifying a pool of available players to participate in this league through a number of “in house” games. Fixtures will become available shortly after Half-Term.

Team Philosophy: For this Season our team results are not something the coaches will be focusing too heavily on, yes there is always an element of ‘wanting to win’ each time we play … However, as we are in our team infancy, we are using this time to plan and prepare effectively ahead for the new season that starts September 2019. Coaches are taking the positives and negatives out of each game to use in their forthcoming sessions to improve their players. Fun and enjoyment remain our primary goal as without this, there would be no point!
Note: If at any stage your Soccerkids are not enjoying the sessions, please speak to a coach immediately!
